Digitek Digitek (digoxin) is a heart medication used to treat congestive heart failure and abnormal heart rhythms. In 2008, the manufacturer of Digitek issued a recall of the medication after it was discovered that the tablets may contain two-times the normal dosage. Over-doses of Digitek can lead to a severe condition called digitalis toxicity. Symptoms of digitalis toxicity include confusion, irregular pulse, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, visual changes, extremely low blood pressure, unconsciousness, and abnormal urine out put.
